Sove The Second
Boise, ID
Criers, nihilism deniers, and DIYers to the front!
Sove The Second makes indie-cello-rock for the overwhelmed and the over-thinkers, embracing uncertainty in a nonsensical universe. Everything is a journey—starting and stopping SSRIs, cowboy breakups, or eating Zots outside your elementary school. Although she has yet to put on a ring on a single genre, the cello’s lead appearance weaves together her eclectic mix of sounds, which range from airy folk pop to mathy punk, electronica, and jazzy grooves. Whatever the occasion, Sove The Second makes for a reliable sonic companion, in sickness and in health
Grace - vocals, cello, guitar, and keys
Michael - lead guitar

The Alexa Rose Foundation has awarded Sove The Second with the Light of Day Award: a two year grant offered to up-and-coming artists so their work can see ‘the light of day’.
Selected with the support of a national panel of artists and arts leaders, awardees are pursuing projects that push their practices in a new direction, build deeper relationships across communities, and contribute distinct perspectives to the arts.
Sove The Second is using the Light of Day Award to record, produce, and release a debut album and share it through regional PNW tours.
